Faces carved onto tree stumps in Rome

chinadaily.com.cn | Updated: 2019-10-04 17:09

The capital has many diseased trees cut down to stumps due to lack of upkeep. Gandini wanted to elicit empathy for the stumps by carving faces for what he calls his "Troncomorto" or dead trunk project.
